Go solar for ESG compliance

What is ESG?

ESG stands for "Environmental, Social and Governance". ESG represent three non-financial areas of business activity and performance that investors are increasingly interested in while making investment decisions.

There are 21 core ESG metrics and 34 expanded metrics across four areas - governance, people, planet and prosperity. ESG metrics are designed to standardize reporting globally and support UN Sustainable Development Goal progress.

Mandatory ESG reporting for companies in India

Section 134(3) (m) of the Companies Act requires the board’s report to contain details on the conservation of energy, including any steps taken or the impact on the conservation of energy, steps taken to utilize alternate sources of energy, capital investment in energy conservation equipment, efforts towards technology absorption, etc.
